Paediatric Occupational Therapist
Valery Chua
Valery is a fully registered occupational therapist with the Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC), Singapore. She has been supporting and working with persons of varied abilities since 2013, across their lifespan - from early childhood to adolescence and adulthood. She specialises in treating children and adolescents diagnosed with neurodevelopmental disorders such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). She has extensive experience supporting children and adolescents across various settings, including special education schools, community outpatient and acute inpatient settings.
​
Valery’s stint as an early interventionist at the Cerebral Palsy Alliance Singapore provided her with valuable insight into the challenges faced by families with young children with additional needs. She also brings with her a wealth of knowledge from the Child Guidance Clinic (CGC) and Adult Neurodevelopmental Service (ANDS) at the Institute of Mental Health (IMH) - she has a profound understanding of neuro-divergent children and youth with co-morbid mental health conditions such as oppositional behaviours, anxiety and mood disorders.

As a registered facilitator of the Circle of Security program, Valery believes in working collaboratively with parents to support children and adolescents as they navigate diverse challenges in their growing up years.
​
In her free time, Valery enjoys playing with her 4-year-old niece and bringing her out to enjoy the great outdoors. She also taps into her creative side through photography and videography.

Paediatric Occupational Therapist/
Clinical Education Lead
Dominique Sng
Dominique is a fully registered occupational therapist and clinical supervisor with the Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC), Singapore. She has extensive experience working in the Early Intervention setting, providing therapy and support to young children below age 7 with developmental needs.
​
As an experienced early intervention specialist, Dominique has provided interventions and treatments to improve children's abilities to perform daily activities such as play, dressing, toileting, and writing. She has worked in transdisciplinary treatment teams consisting of early intervention teachers, speech therapists, physiotherapists and psychologists. Dominique has also collaborated with speech therapists in the feeding clinic to carry out feeding interventions for children.

Dominique is also a clinical educator with the Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT) & a AHPC approved clinical supervisor. She has also conducted training to fellow therapists and early intervention teachers, to share her knowledge on topics such as the Alert Program®, DIR Floortime®, toilet training, sensory processing, as well as interventions for children in the home and classroom settings.

As an experienced early intervention specialist, Dominique believes that partnerships with various stakeholders are integral for a holistic support system for the child. As a parent of one young child, Dominique understands the importance of working closely with families to provide appropriate support and facilitate the development and achievement of family-centred goals.

Paediatric Speech-Language Therapist
Deborah Lee
Deborah is a fully registered Speech-Language Therapist with the Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC). She has extensive experience working in the Paediatric setting, providing early intervention for children as young as 18 months old with Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN). She specialises in working with children with conditions such as Global Developmental Delay (GDD), Developmental Language Disorder (DLD), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and learning difficulties.
Having worked at the KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital, Deborah has a trove of knowledge on administering assessments and providing diagnosis for Speech/Language delays and disorders, fluency, play skills, pre-verbal skills and Social Communication Disorders. She believes in closely monitoring outcomes to ensure effective treatment for her clients.
Deborah is dedicated to providing family-centered interventions. She emphasizes the empowerment and education of caregivers, equipping them with the skills and knowledge necessary to support their children's development effectively. With extensive experience in delivering both face-to-face and online training workshops, Deborah is well-equipped to support and coach parents and caregivers in nurturing their children’s growth.

Outside of work, Deborah is a wife, and a parent to one young daughter. In her free time, she enjoys baking, spending time with her family, and watching her daughter grow up.

Clinical Psychologist
Lynette Tan
Lynette is a fully registered Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency, as well as the Singapore Psychological Society. She has more than a decade of experience working with children, adolescents and adults, across public and private settings in Australia and Singapore.
​
Having previously spent six years as a Senior Clinical Psychologist at the Child Guidance Clinic (CGC) of the Institute of Mental Health (IMH), Lynette has extensive experience providing psychotherapy for children and adolescents facing emotional or behavioural challenges. She was part of the Mood and Anxiety Clinic, a multidisciplinary team which
specialises in comprehensive assessment, treatment and intervention for children and adolescents struggling with mood, anxiety, and other related emotional conditions.
​
Lynette is experienced in working collaboratively with parents and caregivers to support children and adolescents’ emotional needs. As a registered facilitator of the Circle of Security program, she conducts individual and group psychotherapy for parents looking to foster secure relationships with their children.
​
Recognising the need to feel safe in therapy, Lynette is committed to creating a supportive and non-judgmental space for clients to freely share their experiences and receive the support they need to navigate their way through difficult times.
​
When not conducting therapy, Lynette is a musical theatre enthusiast, a loving wife, and a proud bunny parent of a very anxious netherland dwarf.

Co-founder/ Clinical Director
Tang Wei Kiat
Wei Kiat is an Occupational Therapist with more than a decade of experience working across the public, community and private sectors (both locally and internationally). As clinical director of OT FOR KIDS SG, he aims to build and lead a team of paediatric therapists to deliver the best holistic care for children and their families.
​
Wei Kiat is committed to clinical excellence and generously shares his knowledge through mentoring and training therapists across disciplines. As an instructor pre-candidate with the Neurodevelopmental Therapy Association (NDTA, US), Wei Kiat is working towards his passion of advocating for evidence-based practices to support persons with neuro-developmental and neuro-motor challenges. He also holds an Adjunct Faculty position at the Singapore Institute of Technology, contributing to training the future generation of Occupational Therapists.
​
As a father, Wei Kiat is a huge advocate for positive and respectful parenting and is passionate about helping fellow parents and educators better understand and support children with varied abilities. His wealth of knowledge and extensive experience working with children with developmental challenges make him a highly sought-after speaker and trainer on topics related to child development, inclusion practices and parenting.

Wei Kiat specialises in working with infants and children with genetic disorders, physical disabilities and neuro-motor disorders. In particular, he has extensive experience working with children with the following diagnoses: Cerebral Palsy (e.g. hemiplegia), Down’s Syndrome, Spinal Bifida, Global Developmental Delay (GDD).

Lin Jieying
Jieying is our indispensable do-it-all team member at OT FOR KIDS SG. She oversees all administrative processes, customer care, marketing and partnerships.
​
Having worked with children from disadvantaged backgrounds, Jieying is passionate about helping children find their voices and advocating for them. She strives to develop processes and programs that support and uplift children and families.
​
As a parent of two young children, Jieying understands the unique challenges that parents face in providing the best care for their young ones. Her empathy, experience, and dedication make her an integral part of the OT FOR KIDS SG team.
Client Care Associate
Lee Xin Ying
As a Client Care Associate, Xin Ying is part of the support system ensuring the clinic's smooth functioning, helping with administrative tasks and improving the customer experience.
Having had experience working with children and the elderly through her school's community service projects and her previous part-time jobs, Xin Ying enjoys interacting with families and hopes to bring a compassionate and empathetic approach to her role.

As an undergraduate student pursuing an Occupational Therapy degree, Xin Ying is eager to immerse herself in the clinic's environment, absorbing knowledge and expertise that will enrich her understanding of occupational therapy practices.
